BMW E46 HVAC Relocation Bracket – Upgrade Your Radio System
Introducing the BMW E46 HVAC Relocation Bracket, the ultimate solution for BMW E46 owners looking to upgrade their radio system without breaking the bank. Say goodbye to expensive OEM relocation consoles and relocate your HVAC controls below their original position when installing a double din unit. This avoids potential issues with controls not fitting well and flying out during acceleration.
Installation is simple and can be done in one of two ways. Method one involves removing the existing HVAC controls and screwing the bracket into place. Method two involves sliding the bracket onto the back of the controls. Our bracket comes in varying colors, with black being the most common. Once installed, it is fully hidden behind the controls, making the color irrelevant.
Upgrade your BMW E46 radio system hassle-free with peace of mind. Order now and experience the convenience of the BMW E46 HVAC Relocation Bracket.
There are 2 ways to install the bracket, both are very simple and only take a few minutes:
1: Remove the existing HVAC controls from their new position (after double din install) and unplug. Inside the console, there will be 2 black screws at the top, remove these screws and then place your bracket into the gap with the triangular wedges sitting against where you removed the screws, making sure to feed your HVAC cables through the bracket. Screw the bracket into place and then push your HVAC controls back into place. It will clip in when secured. This method is the most secure, it will fit further back in the console but will leave a slight visible gap underneath the controls.
2: Remove the existing HVAC controls from their new position (after double din install) and unplug. Slide your bracket onto the back of the controls with the triangular wedges (with holes in) facing upwards, and the long arms facing down / backwards. Slide the bracket on as far as it will go. Reconnect the cables to the HVAC controls and then push them back into place. It will click when secured. This method makes the control unit sit slightly proud of the console, however, does not leave a visible gap underneath, personally, I prefer this method and think it looks better.
These brackets are manufactured in varying colours but the majority of the time will be black. This doesn?t make a difference as it is fully hidden behind the controls once installed.
The bracket may be dispatched with support material still attached to avoid damage during transit, if this is the case, instructions will be provided on how to remove the support material.
